On January 26th, 2023, the InTheMED Project Team in Tunisia (CERTE) organized a training session for the textile industry - GDR (Gonser Denim Revolution) - from Grombalia, the Tunisian demo site.
The capacity building session on sustainable integrated water management was carried out in the framework of project work package 5 “Innovative Remediation Strategies in the MED” led by CERTE to emphasize the importance of implementing better available technologies for an efficient treatment of industrial effluents and special attention was put on reusing treated wastewater by electrochemical technology as an alternative source of in-situ recycle in industrial processes.
The industry representatives showed a high level of commitment to be engaged in a process of social learning for the design of new management in accordance with the principle of the 4Rs (Reduce, Recycle, Reuse and Recover).
