UFZ Newsletter on “Environmental Perspectives” advertised the participation of UFZ (Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research) in the InTheMED project. Among different aspects, this project is based on monitoring, modelling, a socio-economic evaluation and a web-based support system for decisions. UFZ research team, leaded by Dr. Seifeddine Jomaa, will create a comprehensive database on the quantity and quality of groundwater in the Mediterranean region. This team will also analyse trends in the development of groundwater at regional level.
