Vanessa is an environmental manager, with MSc. in geotechnical engineering from University of Sao Paulo and PhD in hydrogeology from Universitat Politècnica de Vàlencia. Currently she is a postdoctoral researcher in the Hydrogeology Research Group the Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering (IIAMA). Her research interests focus on inverse and direct stochastic modeling of subsurface flow and solute transport, use of machine learning in hydrogeology modeling, and laboratory and field tests to aquifer characterization.
